UPDATE: Lee was in medical boarding at Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic undergoing another surgery to help with his bladder issues. They checked to see if he had any scar tissue that needed to be removed as he was having blockage issues again. He did, and they were able to clean it all out surgically. Lee is much happier, more playful, more affectionate, and is no longer having bladder issues. Donations can be called in directly to our vet at 225-755-3838. Just ask them to apply your credit/debit card payment to the account of Acadiana Humane Society for Lee. Thank you!

Lee was born on July 4, 2009. Lee is very energetic and playful. He loves hugs. He loves to play with feather teasers and toys. He loves attention. Lee loves belly rubs! He will lay on the floor and look up at you and beg for a belly rub. Lee also enjoys receiving and giving massages. Lee likes to give love bites, so recommend that he be adopted to a home with no small children. Lee likes dogs and would do fine in a home with dogs. Lee however does not care for cats, so he would do best in a home with either very few, or no other cats. He would probably be fine in a home with one or two cats if they don't bother him. However, due to his dietary restrictions they would need to be fed separately, and food could not be left out or Lee will eat too much.

Lee is now available for adoption as he has completed his medical hospitalization and has had his surgery from when his urethra had stopped working and he could not pass urine without a catheter. He has recovered from surgery, and has no more issues with urinating, and no longer needs a catheter. He now needs a foster home, or an adoptive home, where he can stay on a restricted prescription diet to keep him from getting overweight and causing him more health issues. We are accepting applications now to be considered to foster,  or foster to adopt , or to adopt Lee. Our adoption fee is normally $100.00, however to the right home Lee's adoption fee is reduced to only $50.00. He will come with one bad of Science Diet C/D Rx dry food. You will need to purchase additional bags from a veterinarian.
